Recycling. We participate in the county recycling program. There are containers in the kitchen area for glass, plastic and tin. Corrugated cardboard can be saved next to the kitchen refrigerator. Aluminum cans should also be saved and there are containers throughout the building for those.
Tables and Chairs. The church has a limited supply of older 8' and 6' tables as well as metal folding chairs that we loan out for open houses, parties and garage sales. Contact the church office at 346-4780 prior to your event to check on availability and to schedule a time for pickup and return.
Energy Costs. With our new building comes additional electricity, heating and air conditioning costs. Please help us conserve energy whenever and wherever possible by turning off lights when you are finished using a room or area. Restrooms now have motion sensor lights which turn on and off automatically. Most thermostats are programmable with preset days and times. If you find a room or area is consistently too warm or too cold, let the office know so it can be checked out.
Did You Know Calvary: Is handicap accessible and has an elevator to the lower level...Has 14 furnaces zoned for various areas of the building...Is equipped with exit lighting and emergency lighting designed to guide you to the nearest exit in the event of power outage...Has a fire alarm system that contains many smoke detectors, heat detectors, manual pull stations, and sprinkler heads with the lower level totally sprinkled. When the fire alarm sounds, it is advisable to leave the building at once unless otherwise instructed.
Use of Church Furnishings and Equipment Policy. It is important to be good stewards of the equipment and furnishings that have been purchased or given to Calvary Lutheran Church. Please read this policy and if you have a request, print out the form provided, fill it out and obtain the appropriate signatures.
Use of Church Building and Grounds. If you would like to use the Calvary building and its facilities for a special event, please print out this form, fill it out and submit to the church office for approval and signature.
