Children's Ministry Program. Our goal for each child attending the Children's Ministry program is to learn about and experience the love of our Lord Jesus Christ, and acquire knowledge of the Bible through a variety of fun learning experiences. Our Children's Ministry program runs through the school year Sundays at 9:40 a.m. and Wednesdays at 4:30 p.m. If you'd like to see this year's Children's Ministry Schedule, check out the Sunday School Calendar. If your child is age 3 or older and is new to our Sunday School program, you can sign up on line or contact the church office.
First Third on the First Thurs!
“Popcorn and The Prince of Egypt” Thursday, April 2 at 7:30pm [following 6:30pm Maundy Thursday worship] is the first of our First Third on the First Thurs events! Mark your calendars for future First Third on the First Thurs events: May 7, June 4, July 2, August 6, September 3, October 1, November 5, and December 3.
What is it? A fun evening for those in the “first third” of life and those who love someone in the “first third” of life. It's also an opportunity on the first Thursday of each month for kids, parents, grandparents, aunts, uncles, friends to spend a faith-centered evening together.
Why call it “First Third on the First Thurs?” Because it’s catchy and easy to remember! “First Third” refers to people in the first third of their life: Children, youth, and young adults.
What if I’m not a parent? Come anyway! Do you know families with kids? Do you want to know families with kids? Come. Grow in relationship with God and each other. Our time together will be multi-generational, meaning they are “kid friendly,” but not “kid exclusive.”

Memory Work. Grades 1-6 have one special memorization work or Bible skill they need to learn during the year. We encourage you to help your child with their memory work. Although teachers can review memory work with them, they need your time and help to truly learn it. They will be tested and awards will be given in the spring. The 1st and 2nd grade students lead the congregation in The Lord’s Prayer and Apostles’ Creed in the spring.

Grade 2: The Apostle's Creed
Grade 3: Bible Skills*--Taught at church but at-home work recommended.

On that day during Sunday School, the children receive a bag full of goodies to enjoy while they watch a Christmas movie. Please join us as we tell the Christmas story and celebrate Jesus' birth!
Easter Celebration. Held on Palm Sunday. We honor Jesus with the waving of palms and songs of praise during the second service. The children also celebrate Jesus' resurrection with a party during the Sunday School time which includes food, craft project and Easter egg hunt.
