We invite you to come as you are to experience worship at Calvary. Though we view our lives and serving others as ways of worshiping God, each week we gather in worship to hear God's Word, praise God in song and prayer, and come together at the Lord's Table. Regular, joyful worship is essential in developing a close relationship to our Lord. Join us in making worship a central part of your life!
Worship with us on Sundays:
- 8:30am: Traditional Worship Calvary in Perham
- 9:00am: Traditional Worship at Community Center in Vergas--Summer Only
- 10:45am: Contemporary Worship Calvary in Perham
Thanksgiving Eve Worship. Join us for a Service of Thanksgiving Wednesday, November 26 at 6:30 p.m. featuring Holy Communion and a special anthem from our Senior Choir. Take this opportunity to Thank God for his many blessings!
If you can't be with us in person, the Sunday 8:30 traditional worship can be seen via webcast later the same day or any time after that. The previous Sunday's 8:30 a.m. traditional worship service is broadcast on Arvig Communications Television Channel 14 Tuesdays at 9 a.m. The Sunday 10:45 a.m. contemporary worship service can be heard live on Lakes Radio 99.5. You can sponsor all or part of a $100 radio broadcast in honor or in memory of a loved one or event. Contact the Church Office for more information.
Other Worship Opportunities. Check the calendar and newsletter for more information about special services such as Advent, Christmas, Lent, Holy Week, Easter and Thanksgiving Eve. On July 4th weekend, worshipers are invited to bring their friends from the animal kingdom for a Blessing of the Animals service.
Holy Communion. This is celebrated on the first and third Sundays and on festivals. We practice an open communion at which all baptized believers in Christ are invited to celebrate this Sacrament with us. Parents of infants and small children are encouraged to bring them to the altar for a blessing. We have First Communion for our young people who are in the third grade and there is an instruction period for them and their parents before they receive their First Communion. Parents of first or second grade children who feel their child is ready to receive Holy Communion may go through special First Communion instruction with their child at the discretion of the pastor.
Worship Assistants. Would you like to greet worshippers, read Scripture, usher, or assist with Holy Communion? You can sign up to help on the clipboard as it passes by you at Sunday worship, or sign up on line. Training for any of the above is available; contact the Worship Chair if you’d like more information on this rewarding ministry opportunity!
